MSBA’s Annual Convention will be held March 20 and 21 at the Delta Hotels Winnipeg. Program details will be posted to the convention webpage, included in the e-bulletin, and distributed in the weekly divisional mail. Registration will open in late January.
As well, the Association is pleased to be hosting the 2025 NTGIE and CSBA Congress from July 2 to 5. The program will include renowned keynote speakers, engaging workshops, opportunities to connect with peers from across Canada and time to explore all that Winnipeg and surrounding areas have to offer.

Call for Nominations - Provincial Executive
Member school boards and trustees are now invited to nominate candidates for the 2025-2026 MSBA Provincial Executive. The following positions will be elected for two-year terms in 2025: President, Vice-President (boards with fewer than 6,000) and Directors for Regions 2, 4 and 5 (one position). Nominations are posted as received.
Written notice via the June 19 divisional mail was the first call for nominations. A second call will be made during the Fall Regional Meetings, with the third and final call to be conducted at the March Annual Convention.
School Board By-elections
School board by-elections provide an opportunity for Manitobans to get involved in public education as a candidate or as a voter.
The City Clerk’s Department runs elections for school trustees on behalf of school divisions within the boundaries of the City of Winnipeg. Check with your local school division office for information on becoming a candidate, voter eligibility, and where to vote on election day for residents living outside the City of Winnipeg.
